Information for Staying Overnight at Colorado State University

Welcome to Colorado State University. As your arrival date approaches, here is some information to ensure that you have the best possible experience while on our campus. We are so excited that you have chosen to spend some of this summer with us!

Front Desk Services

All residence hall front desks will have standard hours of 7AM-10PM, daily. Upon checking in, guests will receive a meal card and room key(s). Should you need assistance after a front desk has closed, please visit the Durrell Center or call our Summer On-Call Phone listed below.

Summer On-Call Phone:
970-492-4980

The electronic key unlocks the front entry door of your building 24-hours a day. Depending on the residence hall, the electronic key may also unlock your sleeping room or a separate hard key will be issued for your sleeping room. Be sure to have your keys on you at all times, as most doors on campus lock automatically. If you get locked out or misplace your keys, you may borrow a temporary key from the front desk for up to 30 minutes. Report lost or stolen keys at the front desk, where you will be issued temporary keys until yours are replaced. A replacement charge may be assessed.

Youth Groups

Upon checking in, chaperones of youth groups will be issued green wristbands. These wristbands help our staff easily identify chaperones. It is important that youth are supervised by chaperones AT ALL TIMES and at all locations. For more information about minors on the CSU campus, please visit: https://rmi.colostate.edu/risk-management/protection-of-minors/

Rec Center

Groups staying on campus can choose to “opt-in” to Student Recreation Center for the duration of their stay. This allows the group to access the facility throughout their time on campus. Adult camp staff can access the facility outside of scheduled times but must do so without any youth participants. All participants can access the facility using their Meal Card. If you lose your meal card, please wait until 10 minutes after the hour to access the Rec Center with your replacement meal card.

Monday-Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Commuter access cards for participants staying off campus can also be arranged. Adults staying on campus can purchase day passes for $7 each at the Rec Center front desk. Please note that towels are not provided and updated policies can be found online here: https://csurec.colostate.edu/about/policies/. Users must observe all posted signs and verbal directions provided by Rec Center staff. For more Rec Center info please visit: https://csurec.colostate.edu.
